NEET UG 2024 Results: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will soon release the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test Undergraduate (NEET UG) results and answer key.
This year, the NEET UG 2024 exam was conducted across the country on Sunday, May 5, for which a total of 13,31,321 female candidates and 9,96,393 male candidates and 17 transgender candidates appeared for the exam. The NTA prepared over 4,750 exam centers to conduct the exam across 571 cities, including 14 outside India.
Last year, the NEET UG cut-off percentile for the general category was 50 for MBBS and BDS candidates and 40 for OBC, SC and ST candidates. The NTA will determine the percentile of NEET UG based on the highest marks scored in the all-India common merit list for NEET UG 2024.
The NEET UG cut-off in 2023 for the general category increased from 715-117 in 2022 to 720-137 in 2023. The same pattern was observed for other categories as well. while the cut-off for SC, ST, and OBC candidates increased to 136-107 in 2023 from 116-93 in 2022.

However, the cut-off for physically handicapped candidates also increased significantly in 2023, from 116-105 in 2022 to 720-137. This is a much larger increase compared to other categories.
The NEET UG exam tested knowledge across three core subjects that are physics, chemistry, and biology (encompassing both botany and zoology). Each subject was divided into two sections.
— Section A contained 35 questions, and all of them were mandatory to attempt.
–Section B offered 15 questions, but candidates only needed to answer any 10 of them.
Last year, for NEET UG 2023 exam, the rank of 1 was shared by two candidates; Prabanjan J. hailing from Tamil Nadu and Bora Varun Chakravarthi from Andhra Pradesh. Both secured a perfect score of 720 marks.
